Maria Former Student, 16-Apr-2003You don't pick up a camera until your junior year, for 2 semesters you edit on an outdated system. Many production professors are former students that for whatever reason are hired by the university but have hardly qualify. The equipment is ok but considering the steep tuition, I wonder where that money goes and why they have not bother to update the cameras and editing facilities. For film studies its quite good but I strongly discourage it for production.

Kornblatt Current Student, 23-Jul-2002I originally applied as a political science student which is under the school of arts and science and I am trying to double major with film, which is under the college of communications. If you are originally in communications, it is a great, easy going experience, other wise, you get reamed.

J Kelley Former Student, 04-Feb-2002Very pricey, but BU offers excellent financial aid. The profs and classes are generally interesting and there is a wide variey to choose from.
