Experience Boston's Fabulous Film Festival

By Michelle Medlock  |  31-Aug-2010

Boston, with all of its rich history and culture, is the perfect backdrop for filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike, which is why the Boston Film Festival (BFF) has survived and thrived for more than 25 years. Every September, the city becomes a place for artistic, creative lovers of story, and people flock from all over the world for this special time in this special city. From Boston's historic landmarks to its charming cafes, it's a wonderful place to experience fabulous films.

Over the years, the Boston Film Festival has been held in various theatres around Boston, but in 2010 the festival moved to Boston's newest indie cinema, The Stuart Street Playhouse. Located in the heart of the theatre district by the beautiful Boston Public Gardens, this theatre features a 425 seat stadium design house as well as a 30-foot Super Glo screen with a Dolby Digital sound system. And, if that's not enough to bring a smile to your face, there is also an attached parking garage that offers a reduced rate for all film attendees.

One really unique aspect that audiences adore about this particular film festival is the opportunity to interact with famous directors and actors after every screening in a question/answer session. In the past, many talented actors have made appearances at the BFF including: Uma Thurman, Greg Kinnear, Dane Cook, Val Kilmer, Annette Benning, Kevin Spacey and Jerry Weintraub to name a few.

Don't miss your chance to enjoy this amazing film festival that brings out the best of the best. Check the BFF official website in late August for ticket information.
