From the very early days, the aim of the internet filmmaker's faq was to build one of the most comprehensive databases of practical filmmaking knowledge on the Internet. As part of this aim, filmmaking.net runs a moderated discussion group for people to post and answer questions that will become permanent additions to the FAQ.

Questions posted to this group are of a broad nature, and appeal to filmmakers of all types and in all locations. If you feel you have a question that is relevant to all filmmakers please post it to the FAQ group. Also, if you can, feel free to answer other people's questions there too.

Some time ago now, filmmaking.net upgraded its forum software to use a new system. The content of our old forums is still available for reference purposes, but posting to the old forums is no longer possible. If you would like to post a message, please do so in the new forums.
