Getting Listed in the filmmaking.net Cool Sites Section
The 'Cool Sites' area is intended to provide a list of links to sites that we think rock the online filmmaking world. These sites are not about slick design or technical wizardry: content is king. Consequently, getting a site listed here is extremely tough: we're looking for the "best of the best of the best," as they say. For filmmaking.net to consider listing a site in this section, it must meet the main Cool Sites criteria:
The site must offer significant levels of free content which is directly related to filmmaking, and of interest to new and independent filmmakers.
The following types of site are generally not considered for Cool Site listing (unless they meet the main criteria above):
- film fan sites
- film news or review sites
- sites promoting the release of an individual film
- product web sites
- production company web sites
- online film festivals or exhibition services
- subscription-based sites
- sites that are "coming soon"
- sites that do not directly relate to filmmaking
